GX7 STRONGARM pistol guncam concept
I absolutely love my RECON MKII, so I’m now thinking of a pistol version for prime lense fixed use as my “long zoom guncam”needs are met with the RECON MKII. The NERF platform will be my base with the STRONGARM MODEL as it has a natural ridge well suited to hold the GX7 in place, so there is no need for a rail system like the one used on my RECON MKII. And the benefit of this is weight savings. Eventually am gonna run a GX8 to run off the RECON MKII and will then use the GX7 as a holstered sidearm on my thigh for prime work. The RECON MKII will be shoulder slung, so I can switch in between gun platforms to capture shots with varying needs. So far I still need to swap lenses out but this should end that need and it is tacticool and practical at the same time. The revolver barrel will be removed as well as the top ridge to make way for a Manfrotto quick detach baseplate to hook up the GX7 to. I have a belt holster but need to figure out how to side mount the lug pin attached to the gun at the side of the gun body so it sits flush against my thigh. Failing which a thigh rig holster or thai plate rig with quick detach option are some of the ideas flaoting around at the moment.

Holstering options: The only real world holster big enough to hold the modded STRONGARM and GX7 is the HK MP7 holster.
Or work out some quick detach plate on a thigh carrier harness combo thingamajig.
