Sabre: Leica Camera Rifle Stock

The Sabre Stock, was made and sold by the Sabre Photographic Supply Company, lllinois, in 1956 but never marketed by Leitz. lt utilised the VlSOFLEX l, PEGOO magnifier, double cable release and 200 or 400mm TELYT). The Sabre Stock - like the "Gewehr" Leica Rifle - used 200mm and 400mm Telyt lenses and the Visoflex I with a double cable release, for making action pictures with long telephoto lenses. Like the Leica counterpart, the Sabre Stock was beautifully built to Leica's own standard. Unlike the Leica Gewehr, the camera may be in 'landscape' (shown) or 'portrait' position (note: black 'U' connector area that allows for this). Top inset pic: Leica "Gewehr" Rifle Stock
