Fujifilm FinePix XP130: Rugged 16.4MP compact

The XP130 is the successor to the XP120, designed to be easy to use in outdoor activities, thanks to such features as a handle for single-handed use or a dual-lock mechanism for the battery holder. The XP130 meets IP68 for water and dust protection standards. The main differences with the XP120 is new Bluetooth® technology for ease of use, instant image transfer, and a new shooting functions such as an Electronic Level and Eye Detection. Electronic Level is particularly useful when capturing horizontal subjects such as landscapes, scenery or architecture. Eye Detection feature is designed to focus on the eyes of the subject, enabling the user to capture portraits with ease. Additional features include Cinemagraph mode that produces still images with moving elements, the Time-Lapse Video function that automatically converts images to video format utilising the interval timer, the Burst Mode that captures up to 10 fps and smooth HD video recording of 60 fps.

The XP130 is waterproof up to 65 feet / 20 meters, shockproof up to 5.7 feet / 1.75 meters, freeze proof to 14°F / -10°C and dustproof, and features a protective, double-locking mechanism for the battery compartment. With a grip design for firm one-handed grip, the new XP130 is designed for ease of use and is tough enough for shooting in all situations. It's now waterproof down to a depth of 20m compared to the XP120's 15m.

The XP130 camera features a 16.4 megapixel rear-illuminated CMOS sensor and a FUJINON 5x optical zoom lens with a zoom range of 28mm in the wide-angle range. The optical zoom range of the device can be increased by 10 times the Fujifilm Intelligent Digital Zoom technology. The camera has an optical image stabilization mechanism to provide sharp images regardless of the vibration despite the weaker light conditions. Fujifilm’s experience is reflected in its colour rendering technology, offering beautiful colours in all situations.

The XP130 has a large 3.0 “920K pixel high definition LCD monitor in a compact and lightweight 207g frame. The display prevents light reflection, allowing users to conveniently control the composition even in bright days or underwater shots. Despite its compact body, the actuator discs are optimally sized and positioned so that the machine can be easily operated even when wearing gloves.

Newly deployed low power Bluetooth® technology enables automatic and instant imaging for smartphones and tablets. The technology synchronises your device’s time and location information to images. To take advantage of this feature, users can download photos and videos easily via their free “FUJIFILM Camera Remote” app to your smartphone or tablet by browsing and downloading photos and videos on your camera. INSTAX Share printers can send images directly to the Instax Share printer for fast printing.
