GoPro Karma 2: Back for round 2?

GoPro did not have a good 2016 with their new Karma drone undergoing a recall, but the company has honoured the recall and even gave away free Hero 5's as compensation. They also sold a complete body replacement kit called the Karma Core at half the price of the drone to appease customers that had downed aircraft on their hands. Now we hear the Karma 2 is in the works for release later this year. Recently GoPro CEO Nick Woodman had this to say on The Verge, "“Of course. The reception for Karma was very strong. It was unfortunate about the recall, but what we learned was that our existing customers and new customers are really excited about Karma’s value proposition,” he said. “It means that the foundation has been laid for great things to come in the Karma line.” A check on the company's stocks saw it soar +2.37 up 11% to indicate a ‘better-than-feared’ holiday sales prediction. Still, one quarter on the upturn still doesn't mean GoPro is out of the woods yet. GoPro has confirmed that details about the Karma 2, which will be shared in early February.
