RED: Custom camera for Michael Bay's new Transformer movie
Enter the "Bayhem" an 8K RED video camera made specially for the renowned movie director to shoot Transformers: The Last Knight. But Bay had the idea to first test it on a Victoria’s Secret commercial, the lucky bastard. CEO Jarred Land unveiled their new RED Helium 8K super 35mm Helium sensor camera on Instagram this past week. They use a lot of #bayhem hashtags. Land confirmed that it uses a new 3.65 micron sensor line.
RED even made a Transformers logo for the camera body

On the Transformers front, for the 5th instalment of this beloved franchise, Optimus Prime searching for a mystical artifact with ties to British mythology – or more specifically ties to Merlin, the wizard of Arthurian legend, whose powers had been granted to him by a Transformer.The report was certainly a little out there, but with The Last Knight now shooting in Scotland, some set photos have surfaced on Facebook which that the film will feature a medieval setting. Of course, this doesn’t mean that Optimus and company will be travelling back in time – more likely, it’s a flashback sequence setting the stage for the search for the Scot in the present day… Still from the upcoming movie
