MEVO: 1st made for Facebook livestream camera
The problem with shooting an interview is the need for multiple cameras to make the footage look interesting. Enter the Mevo a livestream camera that can pan and zoom around the full 4K imagescan and can auto detect facial movements like moving your mouth to automatically switch views to the person that talks next. In fact it can handle a lot more than just interviews but even live events like musical performances and seminars. What once took a lot of money, several cameras and multiple operators can now be controlled, shot and edited by a single device. The Mevo is the first camera meant for Facebook Live. The Mevo was actually called the Movi when it was launched at CES a year back. Watch Mevo video here:
It's a small cylindrical camera with a wide angle that can shoot 4K video, but the power really comes from its software. The Mevo can split the 4K image into multiple (and separate) 1080p video feeds, and the Mevo app allows users to live edit between those feeds. It is essentially a low-budget replacement of a multi-camera live-streaming setup that fits in your pocket. It currently shows support for the iPhone on the Mevo website.
