KODAK IM5: 13 megapixel mobile phone
The Eastman Kodak Company, commonly known as Kodak, is an American company that concentrates on imaging products, with a huge history in photography stretching back to 1888. Kodak began to struggle financially in the late 1990s as a result of the decline in sales of photographic film and its slowness in transitioning to digital photography. It filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2012 in the US but a year later after selling off most of its patents emerged from bankruptcy in 2013. In April 2013, Kodak showed off its first Micro Four Thirds camera, the Kodak Pixpro S-1 manufactured by JK Imaging. So, this is quite a departure from Kodak moving into mobile phone manufacturing. The IM5 was in fact a collaboration between Kodak and the Bullitt Group. The IM5 was previewed at CES 2015. Simplicity is the name f the game for the IM5 that comes with a simplified home-screen, pre-loaded features, such as relevant apps and easy to use image management and sharing software. There is a unique remote assist system that lets the people you trust most help you manage your phone, wherever they are. The IM5 takes HD images thanks to 13 MP main camera in the back, and a 5 MP shooter in the front. The IM5 also comes with a wide-angle lens and autofocus alongside a range of other easy-to-use effects.
