KTEC Proshot: Hybrid sniper rifle style bipod / monopod
Its a very nice tactical looking bit of gear, especially the military rifle bipod legs that extend from the main monopod. It was designed by Lee Snijders and manufactured by KTEC. The ProShot is the first multi-functional "Hybrid" shoulder support rig to incorporate a single shaft design and monopod. Every part of the camera rig was designed and custom built for the ProShot Hybrid camera support. With functionality in mind, the unique ergonomics of the single shaft, swivel head and weighted bottom allows the rig to be used as a hand held camera stabiliser for moving shots when needed. As there is no shutter trigger on the front bipod legs or grips, this is more for video work than taking photographs.
Having said that modding it to be used as a camera rig would not be that difficult by replacing one of the legs with a pistol grip shutter trigger. Lots of possibilities you can play with here. Adding a picatinny rail can make things even more interesting for all kinds of applications like digiscoping as there is a large horizontal surface area that the rail system can rest on. I see some possibilities of some part swap to be used on the Bushhawk especially that front tripod adapter plate.
