PANASONIC terminates GM & GF lines
I personally think this is a good move, the G range naming conventions can get pretty confusing and many models seem to overlap each other in terms of what they can do. High end models would be called all GX and GH, the GH remain somewhat apart because of their very strong professional orientation video. This leaves room for a GX800, which could be the common replacing the GF7, GM5 and current GM1. To distinguish the Panasonic range: 1 digit for professional housing 2 digits to the expert 3 digits for the amateur 4 digits for the beginner This is exactly the logic chosen by Canon for its EOS SLR.
