3D printed NERF Camera Mounts

I've been a fan of Nerf® guns for some time but ever since i started my gun camera project using the NERF Modulus Recon MKII (here) I've been looking at ways to marry cameras to NERF guns to create a stabiliser platform for photography based on many older gun camera's going back to the 1800s.. These mounts also work for Nerf® players that want to record their games with action cameras, camcorders and DSLRs too Nerf® picatinny mounts are specifically designed for attachment to a Nerf® gun rail, the Nerf® picatinny type mount is generic among Nerf® guns. The standard gun Picatinny mount is intended for the standard or custom Picatinny rails to be used for third party accessories like torches and scopes from the non-NERF world.

I found this cool website selling 3d printed mounts to achieve my goals as well potentially being helpful for many NERFers out there at http://www.3dprintedsolid.com/. They even have budget options to help you save on your cash but these are more suited to smaller devices like actioncams and point and shoot compact cameras. The difference being the non-budget versions have locking nuts on the mount to further secure the mount to the NERF picatinny rail system favouring larger and heavier devices.. To mount a camera or other device, place the hex bolt so that it fits into the slot in the mount body. Test fit the camera onto the mount prior to installing the mount directly onto a rail. Note the direction of the camera after tightening onto mount; if the camera is not facing the direction you want, reposition the hex bolt to face the desired direction when fully tightened. There are multiple slots every thirty degrees for the hex bolt in order to custom fit your preference. Once the hex bolt is in the desired position in the mount, remove the camera and place the mount onto the desired rail, tightening the two set/cap screws until snug. Then thread camera onto hex bolt.
